As president of Lurie Wealth Advisors, Michele implements the design and delivery of our integrated wealth management and financial solutions to each of our clients, including business owners, executives, and their families.
With over twenty-five years of expertise, she offers clients a unique perspective to help guide investment decisions and support creative financing and planning strategies.
She received a BA degree in Economics and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College and MBA from Drake University. She holds a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation and Series 7, 63, 65, 9, 10, and 24 securities registrations. Michele currently serves on the board of trustees for Saint John’s University, and is active as a community volunteer. She and her husband, Bob, have two children and live in Plymouth, MN.
Brian L. Thorkelson

An accomplished, forward-thinking investment management professional, Brian’s extensive experience working with equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes through many market cycles drives his wealth management recommendations for each of his clients. Committed to developing strong, positive working relationships, he focuses on developing customized, comprehensive investment solutions.
Brian’s extensive experience in portfolio management, investment market strategy, manager selection and due diligence, asset allocation development, investment product marketing and investment technology development and deployment support his goals of helping our clients grow and protect their wealth.
He earned his BA in Computer Science at Gustavus Adolphus College in 1985. He is a member of the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society of Minnesota. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations.
Brian lives with his wife, Virginia, in Maple Grove, MN. They have two grown children.
Amanda J. Johnson
Senior Client Advisor
As a financial professional, Amanda provides tailored planning analysis and solutions to her clients ranging from busy professionals, families, and those nearing retirement.
Starting her career in 2010, Amanda specializes in tax efficient retirement savings/distribution strategies, cash flow planning, risk management solutions and advising on employer restricted stock units, options and appreciation rights. She enjoys the clarity she brings to the complexity of investments and planning for her client’s overall financial future – allowing them the freedom to focus on the things that matter most to them.
Amanda studied Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University. She holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designations, as well as, Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations. Amanda is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota and enjoys participating in various volunteer opportunities throughout her local community.
Amanda lives in Plymouth, MN with her two daughters. Given her lifelong interest in all things active, she adores coaching, running, cooking, working on her golf game, and basement ping-pong tournaments with neighbors.
Rosemary L. Barenz

Growing up in a family business gave Rosemary a unique perspective of what customer service means. Throughout her career, with experiences working at Wall Street brokerage firms and private hedge funds to busy call centers and corporate training, she brings a well-rounded view from all sides of the spectrum. Rosemary embraces a solid commitment to serve clients’ needs.
Rosemary has a BA in music from Luther College, and a Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations. Rosemary lives in Minneapolis.
